Ok, I've finished grading all of the Parts 2, 3, and 4 that have been submitted, and finalized the online gradebook so that you can see your final grades. Since I leave for Amsterdam in the morning, without my laptop, I'll be officially submitting the grades this evening. If you have a question about your grade, or if I've overlooked entering a score for an assignment you did submit, let me know ASAP.
If there's a missing score, and if adding that score doesn't change your letter grade, I won't take the time to add it, as only letter grades are submitted to Admissions and Records, not point scores or averages.
I've finished up the Lesson 9-2 grading, this morning, sitting in a cozy little stone cottage, in a tiny village called Wray, where all the houses, and as well as all of the walls between the fields and pastures throughout the area, are built with the local stone, about a 20-30 minute drive from the city of Lancaster, in the northwest of England. For any who are interested geographically, the nearest big cities are Manchester and Liverpool, each about 60 miles to the south.
I'll be working on grading the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th parts of the Final today and tomorrow, and will make final grades available as soon as I finish.
I want to congratulate all of you for your efforts during our class. Especially those of you who have hung in there to the (hopefully not bitter) end, have worked incredibly hard -- it has been a huge time challenge and often a learning challenge as well because of the accelerated format, and you deserve a round of applause.
I wish you the best of luck for the future, whether you plan to take additional courses, or jump into making websites without any more courses.
I've really enjoyed working with all of you, and would look forward to having you in any of my other classes.
I've finished scoring the Midterm Part 2 style annalysis, and assignments through Lesson 7-1 (except for a few late submissions in previous lessons), and will be working through Lesson 7-2 assignments on Friday and possibly Saturday.
I leave for the UK tomorrow, arriving in London on Thursday, and immediately heading for Pembrokeshire in South Wales. I'll have my laptop with me and will continue to be available via email and will reply to postings at the class forum. Since I'll be traveling around, it may take me a bit longer to respond than it has when working from home, but most of the places I stay have fast connections to the net, and if not, I'll make arrangements to find a cyber cafe.
Just a note to let you know I'm off the grid for most of the week. I'll be going in to town to a cyber-cafe to check email and the forum twice during the week ... probably Thursday and Saturday.
If you get stuck on something, don't freak out. Instead move on to something else, and we'll deal with whatever it is when I'm back in cyberspace.
I'll be continuing the grading of midterms part 2, and lessons while I'm in the woods.
Have a good week.
